Every item created by Hiromi Hasegawa, a handmade artist born as the daughter of a kimono maker, is a unique product in the world.
Everything from the selection of materials, cutting, sewing, and matching with obijime is done by her hand with all her heart.
All of the materials, obi and kimono, are antique and made in Japan.
They are not only from a specific region, but from various regions throughout Japan.
Most of the materials are 100% pure silk (some metallic threads and mixed weave are included).
The obijime used for wrapping is also pure silk made in Japan. We use only superior materials that have been rigorously checked.
We hope that those who use this knife winding will have more time to have a "rich heart".

Cautions for use
・Please be aware that the vintage items have been selected and sanitized, but they may have a smell specific to the item or the scent of mothballs. Please be aware of this before purchasing.

・Please note that there may be individual variations in shape, finish, and color due to the handcrafted nature of our knives and the use of natural materials for the handles.
・Do not cut frozen foods or bones with knives that are not specifically designed for that purpose. Doing so can cause significant damage to the blade.
・Do not use a dishwasher for cleaning. It may cause rust and damage to the handle.
・After use, do not leave the knife dirty. Hand wash it with a neutral detergent and then remove any moisture.
・Carbon steel knives are extremely prone to rusting, so clean and dry them promptly. When storing, apply camellia oil to the blade.
・Avoid using simple sharpeners as they can damage the blade. If you must use them, please follow up with maintenance using a whetstone.
