Kyohei Shindo, the owner of Kyohei Forging, started to pursue his childhood love of manufacturing while he was a university student.
Wanting to make a living from it, he began to dream of becoming a blacksmith in the future.
Aiming for Kochi Prefecture, where there are many blacksmiths with the style he imagines
Initially, he spent his days training on weekends, and in 2019 he opened his own business, Kyohei Forging.
In 2020, their long-awaited in-house factory was completed, and they are now busily manufacturing all kinds of knives every day.
He also works as an assistant instructor at the Kochi Prefecture Tosa Cutlery Union's Blacksmith Creation School.
